Class 5 Truck Driver / Operator

About The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 5 Truck Driver who is also proficient in operating diggers. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites, operating heavy machinery to perform dig outs for rib raft foundations, and loading materials independently. This role requires a versatile individual who is dedicated to safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

What You Will Be Doing:‍

• Safely operate a Class 5 truck to transport materials to and from various job sites.
• Operate diggers to perform excavations.
• Load and unload materials independently.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols.

What We Need from You:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience operating diggers and other heavy machinery in a construction or civil contracting setting.
• Knowledge of rib raft foundation excavation and construction techniques.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to heavy machinery operation and transportation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor as required.
• Ability to work on multiple sites and adapt to different project requirements.
• Current WTR endorsement preferred
• Valid first aid cert ideal
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe - we can assist with this
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
