We are seeking an experienced Dairy Assistant to join a high-performing and environmentally conscious dairy farm in Fairlie, New Zealand. Since converting to dairy in 2006, this family-run farm has doubled its herd size from 900 to 1,850 cows, balancing growth with a strong focus on sustainability.

730 hectares of dairy platform
640 hectares of support land
491 hectares of runoff and leased land

The farm prides itself on innovative technology, biodiversity initiatives, and sustainable stock management, producing 785,000kg of milk solids annually.

Remuneration:‍

Roles and Responsibilities:

·        Milking 1,850 cows in a modern, data-driven dairy operation

·        Operating farm machinery including tractors andfeed-out equipment

·         Supportinggeneral farm duties, including stock handling and pasture management

·        Monitoring animal health and welfare, assistingwith calving and treatment plans

·        Maintaining farm equipment, fencing, andinfrastructure

·        Adhering to farm safety and environmental sustainability practices

Role Requirements:

·        Minimum 2 years of dairy farming experience

·        Full vehicle license required

·        Ability to pass a drug test

·        Legal right to work in New Zealand
