We’re Hiring Dairy Assistants for Multiple Farms:

All roles require previous milking experience.

‍Commitment until May 31st is required (permanent roles available).

‍

📍 Mid Canterbury Dairy Roles:

‍🔹 Milking 350 cows – Herringbone (5/2 roster) – 12+ months experience required

‍🔹 Milking 1400 cows – 70-bail rotary (6/2 roster)

🔹 Milking 700 cows – 40-aside (8/2, 8/3 roster)

🔹 Milking 640 cows – 54-bail rotary (8/2, 8/3 roster)

🔹 Milking 1100 cows – 54-bail rotary (7/2, 7/3 roster)

Your Key Responsibilities:

✔ Milking, bringing cows in, and plant washdowns

✔Calving & calf rearing – feeding, health checks, and weaning
✔ Animal health (feeding, treatments, monitoring)
✔ Pasture management (moving break fences)
✔ General farm maintenance
✔ Machinery operation & upkeep
✔ Weed control & spraying

‍

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Previous dairy farm or livestock experience (essential)
✅ Good English & communication skills
✅ Willingness to learn & work as part of a team
✅ Legal right to work in NZ (AEWV not supported)
✅ Bonus: Tractor or 2-wheel motorbike experience
