What You Will Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage a large, diverse carpentry team to complete high-quality finishing and joinery work.
  • Be highly organized with materials, ensuring the right resources are available to your team when needed.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure smooth workflow and meet project deadlines.
  • Read and interpret drawings and translate instructions into practical, high-quality finished areas.
  • Drive the program to completion, ensuring all finishing carpentry tasks are completed to the highest standard with no rework.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and other trades to maintain alignment on project goals and progress.
  • Set carpenters up to execute high-standard joinery and finishing work with an eye for detail and precision

What We Require:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in carpentry, specializing in finishing and joinery work.
  • Proven experience leading a large, diverse team of builders and carpenters on large-scale construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a program to completion while maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage your team and collaborate with other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand building standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Valid Site Safe - we can assist with this
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
