Lead Hand Carpenter - Internal Fit-Out Project

About The Role:
We’re looking for a NZ-Qualified Lead Hand Carpenter to take charge of the internal fit-out for a large warehouse project in Rolleston. With the tilt panels up and the floor being poured, we need a skilled professional to ensure precision, quality, and efficiency while leading a crew of 3-4.‍

What You Will Be Doing:

• Setting out and building to plan
• Leading and supervising a crew of 3-4
• Installing internal walls, linings, panel boards, windows, and doors
• Using various carpentry techniques, including measuring, cutting, shaping, and joining
• Assembling wood and other construction materials
• Problem-solving construction challenges on-site
• Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
• Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety

What We Require:

• NZ-Qualified Carpenter with internal fit-out experience
• Proven experience as a Leading Hand
• Ability to set out and build to plan
• Full set of hand and power tools
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Class 1 driver’s license and reliable transport
• Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
