About The Role: We’re seeking qualified electricians for a 6-week decommissioning project at a power station in Mid Canterbury. You’ll be a key part of dismantling electrical systems, all while ensuring safety as the power will be fully disconnected. There’s also the potential to return for the rebuild after Christmas, giving you another opportunity to work on this exciting project

What You Will Be Doing:

• Safely decommission and strip out high-voltage mains cables, transformers, and switchgear
• Disconnect and remove UPS systems, including backup power units and batteries
• Dismantle pressure sensors, meters, control panels, and electrical cabling
• Safely decommission CP systems and wiring
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and confirm circuits are de-energized
• Work within a highly experienced team and learn advanced decommissioning processes

What We Require:

• Qualified electrician with industrial or large-scale electrical experience advantageous
• Solid understanding of decommissioning procedures and electrical safety standards or willing to learn
• Experience with UPS systems, pressure sensors, and CP systems is a plus
• Skilled with meters, multimeters, and electrical testing tools
• Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance
• Willingness to work collaboratively with a skilled team
• Physically fit and able to handle demanding tasks.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Valid Site Safe - we can assist with this
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug test
