ABOUT THE ROLE:
Are you a skilled Stainless Steel Welder or Metal Fabricator looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking experienced professionals to join our small, dynamic team where you'll work on a variety of large and small projects, covering all aspects of steel fabrication.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Stainless Steel Welder Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel components
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Ensure high-quality welds and precision in all work
  • Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
  • Conduct inspections and quality control checks

Metal Fabricator Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures based on blueprints
  • Operate machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, and rollers
  • Cut, bend, and shape metal materials to precise measurements
  • Use hand and power tools to complete fabrication tasks
  • Work closely with the team to meet project deadlines

WHAT WE REQUIRE:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of metalworking tools and techniques
  • Ability to complete some projects with minimal to no supervision
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Health & Safety awareness in a workshop environment
  • Valid Site Safe or Construct Safe – we can assist with this
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Welding certifications (e.g., AS/NZS standards)
  • Experience in custom fabrication and sheet metal work
  • Forklift or crane operation experience (advantageous)
