About The Role:
Max People are looking for Steel Erectors, Fitters, Welders, and Riggers to work on a project at Tauranga Port. Work with the best view in the Bay of Plenty from a 50-meter crane! This is a chance to work with some of the best international specialists in the business! Great learning advantages as they will be on hand to advise, support, and direct each stage of the project. The project will involve lifting up to 80-tonne beams & preassembly of ground-standing legs and carrier beams....and much more!!!

‍What You Will Be Doing:‍

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans
• Measuring and marking steel components to ensure proper alignment and fit
• Using hand and power tools to assemble and install steel beams, columns, and girders
• Bolting or welding steel components together to create a strong and stable structure
• Operating heavy equipment, such as cranes and hoists, to lift and position steel components into place
• Ensuring that the structure meets safety and building code requirements
• Collaborating with other construction workers, such as welders, ironworkers, and crane operators, to complete the project on time and within budget
• Working at Heights
• Observe health and safety protocols on-site.

What Is Required Of You:‍

• Qualified or minimum 4 years experience is required.
• MUST have EWP Ticket
• MUST have Working at Heights
• Basic hand tools and harness.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• Understanding of blueprints will be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong health and safety focus
• Class 1 driver's license and reliable transport.
• Ability to work unsupervised and in a team.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
