Thinking of heading out? Under Alert Level 3 we must continue to stay in our household bubbles whenever we are not at work, school, buying the groceries or exercising.
Police have received more than 1200 reports of mass gatherings since lockdown restrictions eased, and they were called to 685 parties between Friday night and Saturday afternoon on the weekend just passed.
Just as a reminder, under Alert Level 3 we must continue to stay in our household bubbles whenever we are not at work, school, buying the groceries or exercising.
Other travel should not be undertaken. The risk of transmitting the disease is too high. This is not a time to take a holiday, travel between regions to celebrate birthdays or travel from one side of a city to the other to go to a supermarket when there is a suitable one in your local area.
Travel is allowed for the following essential personal movement in your local area:
• Accessing local services and businesses,
• Going to work and school,
• Low-risk recreation in local area,
• Extended bubble arrangements
• Travelling to permitted gatherings.
You are able to drive a short distance to do any physical activities. However you must stay local. This means travelling to your nearest park or beach, not your favourite one.
You may only hunt on foot — using quad bikes, off-road bikes, helicopters and other motorised vehicles is not allowed.
Boating, yachting and any team sports or training are not allowed.
