As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for preparing and positioning machinery for operation, choosing and fitting attachments, and using controls to perform tasks safely and efficiently. You will also be responsible for monitoring gauges and controls to ensure machinery is operating correctly, and performing minor repairs when required.
Work is mainly conducted outdoors in varying weather conditions. You could be employed in construction, mining, agriculture, and other industries. Due to the nature of these working environments, a strong emphasis on safety, observation, alertness, communication, and efficiency is extremely important.
